Daniella Leal

She is an Adjunct Professor at the Institute of Sociology, Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile. She holds a Bachelor’s degree, a Master’s degree, and is a Ph.D. candidate in Sociology from the same institution. She has over 15 years of experience teaching in the areas of social research methodologies, statistics, data analysis, and social surveys. Since 2010, she has served as Head of Studies at the UC Social Studies Directorate (DESUC), where she has conducted a significant number of applied quantitative research projects for the public sector, private sector, social organizations, and international bodies. She is the recipient of the ANID 2021 National Doctorate Scholarship and the 2017 Award for Teaching Excellence Recognition (PRED) granted by Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile. Her research interests include disability and the labor market, the introduction of new technologies for social analysis, the development of quantitative instruments, and Data Science with a focus on emerging topics such as the study of intersectionalities.
