Pía Rodríguez

Pía is Inti’s mother, a midwife from Universidad Mayor, Master in Sexual and Reproductive Health from Universidad de Concepción, Master in Health Care and Collaborative Practices and PhD in Nursing and Health from Universidad de Barcelona and the Rovira i Virgili University.

She is a young researcher at the Millennium Institute for Care Research (MICARE) in Chile, a researcher in the Women, Health, and Ethics Study Group at the University of Barcelona in Spain, and a researcher at the Nascer.pt Laboratory for Social Studies on Birth at the University Institute of Lisbon in Portugal.

Additionally, she is a member of the editorial team for the Musas – Women, Health, and Society Research Journal at the University of Barcelona.

Currently, Pía is an Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Health and Social Sciences at the Universidad de Las Américas, and she leads a Fondecyt project on gynecological and obstetric violence against women with disabilities and its impact on their mental health.

Her research lines address sexual and reproductive rights; critical disability studies; care, motherhood, and mothering studies; and Latin American feminist epistemologies.
