Pablo Marshall is a lawyer. He studied his undergraduate degree at the University of Chile (2006) and his doctorate studies at the University of Glasgow (2015). He has worked as an assistant professor at the Faculty of Legal and Social Sciences of the Universidad Austral de Chile since 2008. His teaching focuses on constitutional law and human rights, supervising undergraduate, master’s and doctoral theses. His research has been funded by ANID and he is a member of the Fondecyt legal and political sciences study group (since 2020) and adjunct researcher at the MICARE Millennium Institute. He has worked as a consultant for UNESCO, UNDP and the IDB.

His research has focused on constitutional law and theory, political rights, and the rights of disadvantaged groups and the rights of people with disabilities. He is currently interested in researching the rights of political participation and the right to legal capacity of people with disabilities, and the legal regulation of mental health. The methodology used in Pablo’s work is mainly theoretical and doctrinal, but he has great interest in qualitative methods to analyze the legal phenomenon.
