Camila Peralta

Camila is a sociologist and master in methods for social research at Universidad Diego Portales. Currently, she is a PhD student in Anthropology and Sociology at the Complutense University of Madrid, developing her project (Re)thinking research methodologies on disabilities. A look from women researchers in Chile.

Between 2016 and 2023 she worked as an honorary professor at the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities of the Universidad Diego Portales, teaching qualitative methods courses in different careers.

As a researcher, Camila has participated in projects associated with constitutional recognition, collective rights of indigenous peoples and the rights of persons with disabilities.

In a transversal way, her interests are related to the exercise and methodological reflection and its link with gender. For this reason, in 2021, she created the space entitled Ciclo de Mujeres en la Investigación Social (Women in Social Research Cycle).
