Constanza López

Constanza is a journalist from the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Valparaíso and a PhD candidate in Interdisciplinary Studies on Thought, Culture and Society at the Universidad de Valparaíso.

Since 2019, she works as a teacher of undergraduate and graduate courses in different houses of study. Her areas of research and intervention are feminist and gender theories and social studies of disability.

Her experience in interdisciplinary teams dedicated to scientific research and university training, together with her management work in the non-governmental organizational field of disability, led her to her current research question around the articulation of a feminist approach to disability from Latin America.

She is a fellow of the National Agency for Research and Development of Chile, a graduate student at the Millennium Institute MICARE and a member of the Working Group on Critical Disability Studies of the Latin American Council of Social Sciences.

Constanza has published several scientific articles, book chapters and outreach pieces on disability and gender.
