Nelson Muñoz

Nelson is a speech therapist from the School of Speech Therapy at the University of Chile and a PhD candidate in Public Health at the same university, a fellow of the National Agency for Research and Development (ANID).

Since 2016 he is part of the Department of Phonoaudiology at the University of Chile, performing undergraduate, graduate, research and extension academic activities for various higher education institutions in areas related to public health, social sciences in health, primary health care, child and disability studies.

Her areas of interest are in developing actions to contribute to improve the health conditions of the population, particularly children with disabilities, from a critical perspective based on collective health, rights-based approach and social justice. He participates in working groups such as the Nucleus in Inclusive Development of the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Chile and the Latin American Network of Critical Speech Therapy and Collective Health.
