Nicole Gallegos

Nicole is a speech therapist from Universidad de Chile and holds a Master’s in Public Health from the same university. She is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Health Sciences at Universidad Regional de O’Higgins (UOH). She has clinical experience with persons with disabilities and in mental health. Since 2020, she has worked in university teaching in public health and social dimensions of health at various institutions. She has participated in research on public health, disability, and mental health.

Since 2021, she has been a member of the advisory committee for Inclusive Rescue at the National Firefighters Academy of Chile, a project funded by SENADIS (National Disability Service), focused on incorporating an inclusive approach in emergencies. She also collaborates with the Center for Applied Mental Health Research (CISMA) UOH. Her interests include disability, rights, emergency care, access to health, autonomy, social determinants of health, intersectionality, and mental health.
