Andrea Yupanqui

Andrea is an occupational therapist and holds a degree in Occupational Science from the University of Chile, a Master’s degree in Education from the University of Magallanes (UMAG), and a PhD in Interdisciplinary Gender Studies from the Universitat de les Illes Balears, Spain.

She is currently an associate professor and researcher at UMAG in undergraduate and graduate programs, and a guest lecturer in various academic, governmental, and national and international community organization settings.

Parallel to this, she is an activist in the National Movement for the Defense of Our Mental Health (Movimiento Nacional en Defensa de Nuestra Salud Mental). She serves as a section editor and member of the review committee for the Chilean Journal of Occupational Therapy (Revista Chilena de Terapia Ocupacional). Her work includes JCR and Scopus-indexed publications, as well as book chapters published by Elsevier, Taylor & Francis / Routledge, Fondo de Cultura Económica, and other international editorial projects currently in development.
