Andrés Aparicio

Andrés is a systems and computer engineer from Pontificia Universidad Javeriana Cali, Colombia, and holds a PhD in Arts, mention in Theater Studies and Practices, from Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile.

His research interests are focused on bodily diversity and the epistemology of practice, its relationship with technology as a process and artifact and its application to care and social inclusion. He has extensive experience in working with technology and disability and has been involved in different programs aimed at empowering the rights of people with disabilities and their associated stakeholders.

He teaches Social Innovation and Technology for Social Work at the School of Social Work of the UC and is an Associate Researcher at the Millennium Institute for Care Research (MICARE), in charge of the line of research in Technology and Care.
