Andrea Yupanqui

Andrea is an occupational therapist with a degree in Occupational Science from the University of Chile, Master in Education from the University of Magallanes (UMAG) and PhD in Interdisciplinary Gender Studies from the Universitat de Les Illes Balears, Spain.

Currently, she is an associate professor and researcher at UMAG, visiting professor at the Occupational Therapy Program, University of Canberra, Australia and tutor at the Postgraduate Center, University of the Republic of Uruguay.

She has been awarded a Chilean Scholarship for Doctorate Abroad, financed by ANID. She directs the research project Access to sexual and reproductive health of women with disabilities, funded by UMAG. She has received some awards, such as the first place presenting at the VII Jornadas Doctorales y II Jornadas sobre Divulgación Científica G-9, Universidad de La Rioja, Spain.

Also, Andrea is an activist of the National Movement in Defense of Our Mental Health and is associated with the Network for the Protection of Rights and Social Inclusion. She is part of the Reviewing Committee of the Revista Chilena de Terapia Ocupacional. She has published JCR, Scopus, and book chapters in Elsevier and Taylor Francis publishers.
