Daniel is a sociologist from the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile and holds a PhD in Human Geography from the University of Edinburgh. He is also a postdoctoral researcher at the Housing Institute of the Faculty of Architecture and Urbanism of the University of Chile.
His research interests include everyday mobility, infrastructure, accessibility, corporealities and disability. At the methodological level, Daniel specializes in qualitative research techniques, especially ethnography, video analysis, ethnomethodology and innovative methodologies based on games and narrative.
His Fondecyt Postdoctoral project focuses on understanding the interdependent relationships and care practices that enable and sustain the everyday journeys of people with visual impairment.
Daniel is a young researcher at the MICARE Millennium Institute. He also coordinates the Research Network on Body and Mobility (RICMO) and actively participates in the NGO La Reconquista Peatonal.
