Carlos is the father of Patata and Carambola, a regular consumer of chocolate and a neurodivergent person with a disability. He is a biology professor at the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile and holds a master’s degree in education from the Universidad de Santiago. He recently completed his doctorate in Education at the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile.
He teaches postgraduate courses on inclusive education and post/qualitative methodologies of educational research, and is a co-investigator of the CripLab project on higher education and disability.
His publications delve into the relational aspects of the production of dis/ability in transnational and Chilean education and health policies.
His areas of interest focus on the material processes of production of dis/ability, academic ableism and the participation of people with disabilities, chronic diseases and neurodivergent in the generation of knowledge.
