Diego Gaytán Álvarez holds a Bachelor’s degree in Musical Sciences and Arts from Pontificia Universidad Católica de Valparaíso (PUCV) and is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Cultural Management at the Universidad de Chile. He has nearly six years of professional experience in cultural management and over 15 years of trajectory as an arts worker. His work has focused on the processes of creation, production, circulation, and cultural participation, incorporating disability as an axis of analysis and a source of knowledges and insights. He has collaborated with individuals, collectives, and institutions across different regions of Chile. Currently, he is a member of Fundación Ser Inclusivo, where he works on accessibility and cultural participation, and Adáptate Chile Consultores, where he approaches disability as a component of social innovation. He is a member of the Advisory Council of the DISCA Millennium Nucleus. His research interests relate to the cultural subject, imaginaries regarding disability, and their impact on the cultural value chain.
