PhD in Psychology from the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile, Psychologist from the Universidad Pontificia Bolivariana (Colombia), with a postgraduate degree in Cognitive Therapy from the Universidad de San Buenaventura (Colombia) and another in Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy and Pediatric Neuropsychology from the Universidad de Antioquia (Colombia).

I am a Research Professor at the Institute of Public Health of the Universidad Andrés Bello and a Principal Investigator at the Millennium Institute for Care Research (MICARE).

My research focuses on studies in intellectual disability. I am interested in working to understand the factors that favor the development and participation of this group in contexts such as health, education, and justice.

I lead a Fondecyt Regular focused on understanding parent-child interactions in families with babies with Down syndrome. I am interested in understanding what characterizes that interaction and its impact on the development of people with intellectual disabilities. Additionally, I have worked on Easy-to-Read to promote their participation, especially in health.
